PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY FOR THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH
The world's greatest online information show will get under way in London in December, to be attended by specialists from around the world.
Preparations are well under way for the greatest online information show on earth in London later this year.
In December more than 340 companies at the cutting edge of the information industry will gather in the Olympia exhibition centre in what has become over the last quarter of a century the largest single show of its kind in the world.
The exhibition and conference, Online Information 2001, is once again being staged by Oxford-based Learned Information.
The exhibitors are information providers from around the world as well as from Britain. Countries represented will include the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and Ireland.
Key speakers from Britain and further afield will also be sharing the latest news and views on information management at scheduled conference sessions.
Event Director Katherine Allen says the Online Information 2001 conference features key topics that are shaping information use, management and publishing in the internet age."
Themes will include intranets and content management, search engines and search techniques, e-government, information literacy, corporate portals, managing information and new tools and technologies.
Feedback after last Decembers show was very positive indeed," adds Allen. And since we sent out preliminary details for Online Information 2001 at the beginning of this year, interest has been enormous. We are determined that our silver jubilee will feature the widest selection of resources ever offered at Online Information."
There are expected to be more than 340 exhibitors at the event on 4-6 December 2001, with over 15,600 visitors.
