CareerSite To Power Career Center for Crains Detroit Business

Crain's Detroit Business chooses CareerSite to power their new, online Crain's Career Center

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – July 27, 2001 – CareerSite announced today a marketing agreement with Crains Detroit Business, metro Detroits leading business publication, to power Crains Career Center, a complete, online career resource at http://crainsdetroit.careersite.com. The agreement enables Crains Detroit Business to increase online recruitment by offering employment advertisers a complete
e-recruitment solution and job seekers a confidential career service that focuses on local employers.

Crain Detroit Business can now offer their employment advertisers a variety of ways to reach local job seekers including: online job postings, a searchable candidate database and employer profiles – all through the Crain's Career Center Recruiter. This easy-to-use, browser-based tool streamlines the entire e-recruiting process from posting a job online to tracking and viewing résumés. It even allows employers to build their own company recruitment site.

The Crains Career Center provides various features that make it easier to find a job with a local employer. By entering a password protected, confidential profile that does not contain any identifiable information, job seekers can market themselves anonymously to employers while maintaining complete control over identity disclosure. To ensure that job seekers receive all relevant matching positions, CareerSites SmartMatch, a proprietary technology, searches for jobs using concepts rather than simple words. Candidates also receive additional job searching tools including: automatic e-mail notification of job matches based on registered preferences, online résumé storage, cover letter submissions, and the ability to search and apply for jobs.

The new site provides valuable services that help job seekers find new employment and enables business owners to easily search for top candidates on both a local and national level," said CareerSite President and CEO Peter Bernhard.

Were excited about our partnership with CareerSite because of the number of local jobs in their database and the tools they provide to companies to help them easily manage all their online recruiting," said Mary Kramer, associate publisher of Crains Detroit Business.
