Lectra Expands 3D Visual Merchant Support Team

Lectra appoints six new employees who will help to expand the sales and marketing of Lectra's 3D Visual Merchant, a leading-edge solution for apparel brands and retailers that helps to define and implement a visual merchandising and retail space planning strategy.

ATLANTA - August 2, 2001 - Consistent with its strategy to be a leading customer-focused e-technology company, Lectra today announced the appointment of several new people to the companys 3D Visual Merchant support team.

The primary mission of the group, who will work in Lectras Los Angeles office and report directly to Nathalie Gondoin, International Business Development Manager of Visual Merchandising Solutions, will be to accelerate the growth of 3D Visual Merchant through marketing and sales support and to provide account management services that include implementation, training and content creation services.

In todays competitive apparel market, a strong and consistent retail presence is becoming a key success factor. 3D Visual Merchant is Lectras new leading-edge solution dedicated to apparel brands and retailers for defining and implementing a visual merchandising and retail space planning strategy.

Customer-Focused Implementation Team
To fully support Lectras customers, the company has developed a full staff of implementation specialists who will be responsible for project management and customer support of Lectras North American accounts. Meredith Rossi and Davin Dong have joined the team as Senior Implementation Specialists and Mendy Cruse has been appointed 3D Visual Merchant Implementation Specialist.

Rossi, a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, brings to Lectra more than nine years of experience in marketing and training of CAD and 3D merchandising applications. Among other duties, she will provide 3D Visual Merchant training for Lectra employees worldwide.

In addition to account management, Dong, who has seven years of experience, will be responsible for product development, training, specification writing and sales support. Before joining Lectra, Dong created and managed digital content for Styleclick, ModaCAD and Telecom Solutions.

A specialist in merchandising and design, Cruse has performed art direction, production coordination and visual merchandising services for clients including Disneyland Resorts and Bugle Boy. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and Golden Gate University, Cruse will focus on supporting the launch of 3D Visual Merchant V3.0 and managing customer projects.

To accelerate growth of the companys merchandising solutions, Lectra has appointed Tammy Wood as International Implementation and Marketing Specialist for Visual Merchandising solutions. She will support the launch of 3D Visual Merchant V3.0, manage Implementation Specialist and Designer teams, and provide customer support.

Strengthened Image Content Development
Lectras new software development members include 3D Visual Merchant Content Production/Designers Liselotte McCloud and Marcel Hemingway. This expansion reinforces Lectras goal of providing a cost-effective, seamless solution to its customers. McCloud brings to Lectra more than 11 years of art direction and production experience for clients such as McDonalds and Toyota. She will create new interactive content and graphic designs in support of sales and marketing.

Hemingway will develop 3D content for use within 3D Visual Merchant and marketing resources. Marcel will also produce custom content for Lectra clients and participate in customer projects as a 3D design expert. Marcel, a graduate of the Kubert School of Design, has more than seven years of experience with companies including Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising and Styleclick.
