DirectStuff.com and LocalWeb4U Inc. Partner to Offer Local Gift Certificates Online

More Proof the Internet is Targeting Local Markets and Local Advertising

Anderson, Ind. August 2, 2001 - The premier electronic direct marketing company is partnering with a marketing technology company to offer local gift certificates. DirectStuff.com will serve local gift certificates on the home pages of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the LocalWeb4U ISP Network. DirectStuff currently has over 175 merchant partners, including Red Lobster, The Sharper Image, Sunglass Hut and JC Penney.
"We are delighted to move forward with LocalWeb4U in becoming a distribution partner for DirectCertificates, DirectLeads and MyFreebies," said Jason Wolfe, president and CEO of DirectStuff.com.
The relationship will result in a revenue share between both companies, as well as the ISP. Both companies share the vision of enabling ISPs to maximize their revenue potential by adding value to their web sites.
"This relationship enables us to deliver more local commerce using our ISP Network partners, " said Doug Edge, president and CEO of LocalWeb4U. " This service will make these local ISPs more competitive with the large, national ISPs."
DirectStuff is also preparing a private -- labeled coupon -- serving engine for LocalWeb4U. In addition to local gift certificates and freebies, LocalWeb4U would also be able to offer local coupons. In a 2001 study, Cyber Dialogue finds that 14.9 million US adults, or one-fifth of the country's online population, downloaded online coupons within the last three months. Both companies will use that statistic to grow and strengthen their business models.
