DANIELIAN ASSOCIATES TAKES THE GOLD AT PCBC

Danielian Associates, a nationally recognized architectural and planning firm located in Irvine, CA., took honors at the 38th Annual Gold Nugget Award Ceremony held in San Francisco, July 26. During this event sponsored by the Pacific Coast Builders Conference, Builder Magazine, Southern California Edison, Wells Fargo and homebuilder.com, Danielian Associates was presented with two Grand Gold Nugget Awards, for their luxurious Salviati Plan 1 designed for ColRich Communities, and for The Gables, Plan 4 designed for K. Hovnanian Companies of California.

Danielians old world-styled Salviati Plan 1, implements a U"-shaped floor plan that orients all activity centers of the home toward a gracious, interior (or entry) courtyard, achieving a seamless effect between indoors and out. This private enclave allows added functionality to the home and increases natural light to the living spaces. Old World Tuscan" interiors are enhanced through use of classic archways, detailed fireplaces, and high-volume ceilings. The goal," according to Joe Digrado, AIA and lead designer on this project for Danielian, was to develop a stylish, unique, single-story floor plan that would appeal to a highly sophisticated, custom-minded homebuyer. Salviati, built in San Diego County, was the third in a series of three luxury projects designed for ColRich Communities by Danielian Associates. It seems we hit the mark. The plan has been very well-received by ColRich homebuyers, and this award from the industry is an added seal of approval."

Award winning Plan 4, The Gables, is located in Orange Countys large, master-planned community of Ladera. The builder, K. Hovnanian, set some challenging design goals for this community," stated Oscar de la Cruz, AIA, and Danielians lead designer for this project. The unique design aspects for this development were in response to the guidelines to provide five different themes reminiscent of a more traditional period in time. The design developed into a neighborhood with garages located to the rear of the homes (alley-loaded product), thereby allowing the designs to play up the warm front porch approach of the good old days.

Awards of Merit were also presented to Danielian Associates for their Bel Etage, Plan 1, designed for ColRich in Santa Fe Valley, CA, and for Santalina, Plan 2. built in Carlsbad, CA by Greystone Homes.
