Callaway Gardens is proud to announce the appointment of Rita E. Joyner to the position of director of retail stores and products.

Callaway Gardens is proud to announce the appointment of Rita E. Joyner to the position of director of retail stores and products.

In this position, Joyner will apply her extensive retail background to the management of 12 on-site retail outlets, three off-property locations as well as the warehouse, preserve plant and wholesale department.

Joyner comes to Callaway Gardens from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, VA, where she managed the sales and support services for 32 retail units as director of retail stores and operations from 1988 to 2000. Prior to Colonial Williamsburg, Joyner enjoyed a 14-year career with J.C. Penney Company, Inc.

Joyner was involved in civic and church life in Virginia. She was a trustee of Historical Hopewell Foundation, member of the City of Hopewell Architectural Review Board, member of Hopewell Community Industrial Panel, chairman of the Nazareth Lutheran School Board and an active member in the Nazareth Lutheran Church.
