Sister 2 Sister Magazine Awards Event

Celebrities and Congressionial Members to participate in the 3rd Annual Intergenrational Celebration.

Sister 2 Sister Magazine entices hot entertainers and Congressional
Members to the 3rd Annual Intergenerational Celebration being held at
The National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, September
25th.

"Uniting Three Worlds and Two Generations" was created by publisher
Jamie Foster Brown to bridge the widening communications gap &
friction between the older and younger generations. By bringing
politicians, corporate executives & entertainers together to share their
experiences and wisdom with one another and the community, they hope
to begin the process of unifying.

The day long event will include a luncheon and theatre skit by students
from The Duke Ellington School of the Arts on conflict resolution
between hip-hop and older generations followed by an informal panel
discussion on what words and tools can be used to resolve these
conflicts. Panelists include Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. (Dem. TN);
Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. (Dem. IL); Rodney Jerkins, CEO of
Darkchild Entertainment; Lionel Ridenour, Exec. Vice President, Arista
Records; and Kevin Surratt, Child Behaviorist with moderators
recording artists Tyrese and Mark Williams from the Duke Ellington
School.

The Dinner Awards Ceremony will feature the "You're My Sis Awards"
being presented to So So Def recording artist Da Brat and the "You're
My Brother Awards", to Judge Greg Mathis. Other recipients to be
announced. An Afterglow party will follow.

Past recipients have included Mary J. Blige - Queen of Hip Hop; Queen
Latifah - Talk show host & rap artist; Master P. - No Limit Records
CEO & rap artist; Kweisi Mfume - President/CEO NAACP; The
Honorable Alexis Herman - Sec. of Labor and Cong. Maxine Waters
