(ORI) a technology firm specializing in custom software development and consulting services, announced today it has selected Unitech America to offer wireless, remote data access to corporate databases, using Unitechs mobile handheld device.
Unitech designs, manufactures and distributes bar code scanners and data collection products. Unitechs rugged PT-900 model will be combined with DataSplice Remote Viewer Editor (RVE) to provide real-time access to enterprise data based on the Windows CE operating system. Using DataSplice RVE on the PT-900 will allow workers to look up inventory parts by any set of criteria they choose, electronically issue items to work orders, locations, and equipment. PC users within the same facility will also be able to see real time inventory without leaving their desks. Enabling the exchange of information at the point of use, allows companies to increase productivity, improve data accuracy, and reduce costs.
