Clearigo Solutions Inc. Appoints New Board Members

Clearigo Solutions Inc, a pioneer in developing mobile software applications for wireless PDAs and smartphones, appoints Haig Farris, John Linton, and Laurie Wallace to its board of directors.

VANCOUVER, BC, January 7, 2002 -- Clearigo Solutions Inc, a pioneer in developing mobile software applications for wireless PDAs and smartphones, appoints Haig Farris, John Linton, and Laurie Wallace to its board of directors.

Haig Farris is a veteran leader of the Canadian venture capital industry and British Columbia's technology industry. Haig co-founded Ventures West, one of Canada's most established and respected venture capital firms. He is currently the President of a boutique venture capital firm, Fractal Capital.

John Linton was senior VP of the R&D and Marketing Groups at Glenayre Electronics, where he helped grow their wireless infrastructure business to be BC's largest technology company with annual revenues of $650 million. John currently manages the Velo Fund, a Vancouver-based early stage technology fund.

Laurie Wallace was co-founder, President and CEO of Datum Telegraphic, which was acquired by PMC-Sierra in 2000 for over $200 million. He currently serves as director of marketing for PMC-Sierra's Wireless Products Division.

"I am very pleased to join the board of Clearigo. They have a great vision of how to efficiently use the wireless network to allow for effective data communication", said Laurie Wallace.

We invested in Clearigo because they have some interesting technology, a product with near term revenue based on a key partnership with Neomar and because we like Kevin and the team he has assembled. In addition, we are active investors and Clearigo offers me good opportunities to provide experienced input about how to build a successful product company in the wireless space", said John Linton, fund manager of the Velo Fund.

I am very delighted to have Haig Farris, John Linton, and Laurie Wallace on our board," said Kevin Chan, President & CEO of Clearigo Solutions. Haig brings four decades of early-stage venture investing and company-building experience. John brings a wealth of business development and marketing experience. Laurie brings practical company building experience from launching a very successful start-up. Together they will be instrumental in building Clearigo into a world-class mobile software company focusing on an exciting and emerging market: applications for wireless PDAs and smartphones."
