SNAILS BETA DEMO RELEASED FOR POCKET PC
Finland -~ SNAILS PRE-BETA DEMO RELEASED
The first public version of Peter Balogh 's blockbuster game has just been released to the public. It's a pre-beta demo, with some limitations and possibly a few bugs as well (besides the exploding fleas).
The demo version includes: 2 of the 10 levels, 15 of the 25 weapons, 2 of the 3 snail tribes and no missions.
OVERVIEW OF FEATURES:
10 different levels/locales
Deathmatch (vs CPU), Mission/Story mode, 2 player mode (share your device with your friends and show em who's boss)
3 difficulty levels, each with their own missions and storylines.
Top notch sound effects, voices and music by Jason Surguine.
Wacky humor by the Nooginz, Moogums and Lupeez (the three known snail tribes on the planet Schnoogie)
Professional art by Randall Schleufer brings the game alive with incredible cartoon graphics and
awesome animations.
25 unique and different weapons. Did we mention the deadly mosquitoes?
Superb special effects (e.g. smoke trails, flame effects, sparks, alpha-blending and vector graphics).
Realistic weather effects (depending on the locale) affect the physics of the game. For example, a rocket can easily come back at you if you dont watch the weather (wind, rain, snow, mist, sand, etc.).
3 different tribes of snails, each with their own unique characteristics and animations.
compatibility with all major Pocket PC's (including ARM, MIPS and SH3 devices), with HPC support to be determined at a later date.
Exploding frogs (which surely is a good enough reason on its own to buy the game!).
Not only that, but there will also be a desktop PC version (Windows 9x/2000/XP) which will also allow for network play, planned for integration (both on the PC and Pocket PC versions, along with infra-red support) at some point after the initial release.
The price is currently set to be around the $10 mark.
