Benefit Software Inc. announces CompWatch® 7.0 for OSHA Compliance
Benefit Software announces the launch of CompWatch 7.0 for tracking and recording occupational injuries and illnesses. This software system has been developed in accordance with the revised OSHA recordkeeping rules effective as of January 1, 2002.
Benefit Software Inc. (BSI), the leader in safety and benefit communications technology, today announced the launch of CompWatch 7.0 for tracking and recording occupational injuries and illnesses. This software system has been developed in accordance with the revised OSHA recordkeeping rules effective as of January 1, 2002.
The upgraded CompWatch system produces the Employers' First Report of Injury (for all states) as well as the new OSHA 300 log and the 300A and 301 forms. The OSHA 200 log is available for pre-2002 claims that are still open. Users may now send and receive claim data via e-mail.
CompWatch uses injury and illness claim data to produce management reports and graphs, which in turn are used to monitor safety programs. The system will automatically send Employers' First Report of Injury claim data from remote locations to corporate headquarters, TPA or insurance carriers.
The system helps to identify fraudulent, excessive and repetitive claims by enabling better collection and recording of occupational injuries and illnesses. In addition, CompWatch promotes improved employee awareness in recording and reporting injuries and illnesses to ensure compliance with revised OSHA requirements.
