Kemper Insurance Companies Chooses NTP Software SRM Technology to Manage Storage Usage

Kemper to use NTP Software SRM Technology to clean up their Windows NT environment prior to migrating to Windows XP, and continue to use the technology to manage storage usage.

Success goes hand-in-hand with reputation. At Kemper Insurance Companies, their reputation for property and casualty insurance extends across the globe. The name Kemper is associated with quality insurance products, top-notch service and competitive prices.
There's no doubt that Kemper looks for many of the same characteristics in its vendors. Fortunately, Kemper was able to find such top-notch characteristics for Storage Resource Management (SRM) Technologies, provided by NTP Software.
When Kemper sought a user-friendly quota and file management technology, they looked at the various technologies available in the marketplace today, and quickly decided that the superior technology found in NTP Software Quota & File Sentinel (QFS) met their needs "hands down" due to the following reasons:

-- Comprehensive and user-friendly solution with flexible user messaging
-- Ability to manage over 100 servers, in different locations, from a central management console, using policies to apply threshold and file management automatically to remote servers
-- Ability to automate some or all of the storage allocation process
-- Ability to perform both quota management and file management capabilities from the same console AND from the same file system driver

NTP Software Quota & File Sentinel does all of this, and more. Matthew Jones, Technical Consultant, Kemper Insurance Companies, states "In putting our Windows 2000 infrastructure in place we wanted to move beyond simply hard locking with quotas. Quota and File Sentinel gives us the ability to provide detailed reports to the business areas regarding their storage usage and send alerts to the support areas as thresholds are reached. The EASE architecture and centralized console provide the enterprise framework essential to our IT organization. QFS is a key component in our overall storage management solution."
"This is a great example of a market leader such as Kemper gaining an even stronger competitive advantage by utilizing advanced technology to control costs," states Mac Rosenbaum, Vice President of Sales for NTP Software. "We are extremely proud to list Kemper among our customers, and we look forward to working with them for many years."
