Reptile Site Launches Photo Hosting Service

Popular reptile web site launches photo hosting service, to replace photo hosting service "missing in action".

kingsnake.com, the worlds largest online reptile community,
today announced that it has launched an online photo hosting
service.

"We had a large segment of our user and vendor base that was
directly impacted by the sudden disappearance of the PhotoPoint
service. Our customers were stranded and lost a lot of
their images and data. We have stepped in to offer them a
replacement." said Jeff Barringer, CEO of OnlineHobbyist.com,
Inc., owners of the reptile industry portal. "This is a plus
for our users and our vendors, allowing them to host their
images with us and use them in our forum and classified system".

kingsnake.com, a site that averages over 20 million page
views per month, is only one of 9 pet communities operated
by OnlineHobbyist.com, Inc., an Austin, Texas based
dot com considered a "maverick" because of it's survival
without receiving VC or Angel funding.

"This business was started with my last paycheck almost
5 years ago, and has been built on revenues. We have no
real long term debt, we have real no short term debt,
we are cash positive and growing. We grew our revenues
90% last year and continue to make inroads into other
marketplaces and discover new revenue streams. We seem
to be operating in direct contradiction to what people
expect from a dot com".

Specializing in providing advertising and hosting services
to the pet industry, OnlineHobbyist.com, Inc.
expects to see significant gains this year in some of
its other pet communities. "The reptile community has
been great to us, and we found that a large amount of
overlap existed between our vendors and users when it
came to owning other pets. We expect our AquariumHobbyist.com
and several other sites to start making significant
progress this year."

OnlineHobbyist plans to offer the new photo hosting
service on all its pet communities.
