Over 35 features added to popular practice management software

January 14, 2002 -- Lincoln, NE -- Software Technology, the leading provider of both financial and practice management systems for the legal marketplace, announced the release of Version 10.5, the latest version of its popular Case Master practice management software product. Over 35 new features have been added focusing on improved performance, additional configuration options and ease-of-use improvements requested by customers.

Our customers have been very vocal and supportive of Case Master over the past few years in letting us know how we can further improve our practice management solution," said Dan Berlin, President of Software Technology. Our goal with this release of Case Master was to not only add requested features from our customers, but continue to improve productivity in professional offices that use our software."

Case Master has been used in law firms and legal departments for nearly 15 years and continues to be considered one of the most popular case management products available today. Case Master is recognized for its flexibility, integration and customization capabilities and Version 10.5 expands on all of these areas. The integration with Software Technology's TABS III time billing system provides a level of bi-directional synchronization of client/case, fee and cost records that is unmatched using any combination of separate billing and practice management systems from different companies.

Highlights of the new features include:

- Case Master is now optionally available in a client/server version.
- Integration with QuickBooks where Case Master can post detailed journal entries to a QuickBooks import file whenever a cost transaction is added to Case Master.
- Case Master Briefcase, the remote version of Case Master, is now included free.
- New multimedia tutorial to help explore unfamiliar features and to aid in training new employees.
- New Recurring Dates feature simplifies the creation of repetitive calendar records.
- Improved filtering capabilities to speed up searches.
- Ability to quickly convert calendar and journal records to fees.
- New reporting options including the ability to specify additional ranges for the Daily Calendar report.

We enjoy a leadership role with our flagship product, TABS III, as the leading time billing product in the legal industry," continued Berlin, and as a result, this leadership role brings a level of responsibility to develop Case Master into the preferred practice management software. This release of Case Master, Version 10.5, certainly puts us in a position to become the product of choice for law firms looking to better manage their practice."

Case Master retails for $495 for the stand-alone version and starts at $995 for the network version. The client/server version of Case Master is priced at approximately 25% above normal retail prices. Version 10.5 is available now directly from the company or through one of its resellers.
