Merger Creates New Force In Ticketing Systems and Sports Venue Systems
A merger between ticketing systems software engineers SeatBooker and sports systems company Data Factors has created one of the most exciting ticketing systems companies in sports and leisure.
The eagerly awaited merger between the sports ticketing systems company Data Factors and the experienced software engineers SeatBooker, was finally announced today.
The jointly developed online ticketing systems designed for the highest demand ticketing applications is now only available from one source. The new holding company has acquired 100% of the equity of both parties and all current staff become shareholders as well. All equity in the venture is held by private investors.
Speaking to the technical media earlier today, Pat Bernstein, CEO of Data Factors said, "We have always had vision, allowing us to create unique, market leading products and services at cost effective rates. Our merger with SeatBooker gives us access to their well proven software engineering skills, making view-from-seat ticketing a reality for every type of sport. We expect to announce the first customer for this in the English Football Premiership within the next fortnight."
The combined company specialises in online ticketing systems, ticketing software and ticketing services. The company will operate services as an ASP (Application Service Provider), delivering use of their applications, without the customer having to make major capital investments in IT. The company will maintain two offices, one in Suffolk and one in North London.
Phil Baldwin, CEO of SeatBooker said, "Our software skills as applied to ticketing, have already proven to be well ahead of others in this market. We expect to license some of our online ticketing applications where others need to avoid the major investment in intellectual property, while generating most of our sales directly."
External equity will be sought later in the year, allowing the company to increase the rate of development.
