Med Advantage acquires Virginia Credentials Verification Organization Both Firms Committed to a quality Transition.

Orlando January 10, 2002-- In a transaction announced today, Orlando, Florida-based Med Advantage purchased the credentials verifications operations of Managed Networks of America (MNA), a Virginia corporation. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. With the purchase, MNA's credentials verification operations will transition to Med Advantage offices in Orlando, Florida.

Orlando January 10, 2002-- In a transaction announced today, Orlando, Florida-based Med Advantage purchased the credentials verifications operations of Managed Networks of America (MNA), a Virginia corporation. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. With the purchase, MNA's credentials verification operations will transition to Med Advantage offices in Orlando, Florida.

"After working diligently for the past few years, we believe we have achieved our initial goals of streamlining the credentialing process and reducing the resource costs associated with redundant collection of credentials information for our clients," said Matthew Weinstein, president of MNA corporate service in VA, which currently owns the credentialing service.

"This acquisition continues to enhance Med Advantage's leadership in the medical credentials verification field and reflects our expertise and commitment to the health care market as a means to enhance quality of care and to control costs," said John B Witty, president of Med Advantage. "Both Med Advantage and MNA are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for MNA customers," added Witty. "Our processes are very similar and should require few accommodations from MNA current clients and their affiliated practitioners," he said. "MNA Customers have received information packets about Med Advantage to expedite the transition and ensure that they receive the data they need to meet their credentialing deadlines."

Managed Networks of America® (MNA) is a national Management Services Organization (MSO) - a healthcare company providing management services to national and regional healthcare corporations, independent provider associations, multi-disciplinary professional group practices, community mental health centers, and facilities/ hospitals.
