B2BWorks Strengthens National Sales Force With Key Hires

Leading B2B Digital Marketing And Media Services Company Experiences Record Sales, Adds Strategic Executives to Meet Market Demand

CHICAGO - Jan. 14, 2002 - B2BWorks, Inc., the premier provider of business-to-business digital marketing and media services, today announces the addition of five key sales executives, strengthening the company's bandwidth and expertise in leading business sectors.


"Fueled by several new products and services in B2BWorks' suite of offerings, as well as recent partnerships such as our exclusive agreement with Cahners Business Information, B2BWorks continues to help corporate marketers reach their target B2B audiences," said Ed Berry, chief revenue officer. "In late 2001, B2BWorks enjoyed its best sales quarter in company history. We needed to grow the size of our national sales team to ensure that we continue to meet the demand and provide the high level of customer service that's expected from B2BWorks."


William Mahoney and Nicole Witover join B2BWorks at the company's Chicago headquarters. Mahoney will put his sales and publishing experience with New Paradigm Resources Group and PRIMEDIA, Inc. to use in his new position as strategic sales manager with a focus on telecommunications accounts. Witover comes to B2BWorks as and e-mail product manager with digital marketing expertise developed from her former positions with Toolbox, LLC, 24/7 Media, and Credit Suisse Asset Management.


B2BWorks' New York office welcomes Lawrence Pretto and Kelly Simon to the east coast sales team. Pretto's previous online media experience includes account management positions with Ziff Davis Internet and DoubleClick, Inc. Simon's experience spans online and print media sales with titles such as Business.com, CBS Internet Group (CBS.com), CondéNet: the online division CondéNast, Modern Bride Magazine, Mid-Atlantic Country Magazine, and The Washington Post. Pretto will serve territory accounts for B2BWorks, as well as strategic accounts for the advertising and marketing business sector, while Simon's focus at B2BWorks will be on strategic accounts within the financial and professional business sectors.


San Francisco's B2BWorks team welcomes Kevin Ascher as a strategic sales manager with a concentration on west coast accounts in the technology sector. Formerly the national sales director for Xythos Software, Inc., Ascher also has technology sales experience with Microsoft Corporation, Linkexchange, Inc., and Risk Management Solutions.


"Our newest sales executives bring practical and strategic skill sets which will be valuable assets, not only for B2BWorks, but more importantly, for our growing customer base," said Berry.
