The new division has increased the company's capacity to satisfy market requirements. Howorth Pharma will provide containment booths, laminar flow units and custom solutions for the global pharmaceutical industry.

The new division has increased the company's capacity to satisfy market requirements. Howorth Pharma will provide containment booths, laminar flow units and custom solutions for the global pharmaceutical industry.
The company provides a complete service that encompasses design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and full after-sales spares and support. Full integration ensures customer needs are met totally. A new showroom at Howorth's Bolton HQ enables the company to demonstrate typical applications and explore with clients the development of practical solutions to their particular needs.
Howorth Pharma offers a complete turnkey service. Recent projects, worth 3million, include work for Schering Plough in Singapore, Pfizer in Singapore, Astra Zeneca in the UK and Bayer in the USA. The Howorth design team works closely with clients to provide them with innovative, flexible and effective solutions.
Managing director Leonard Morris explained, "Building on our leading reputation in the development and supply of ultra clean air technology for clinical applications we offer a comparable service to the pharmaceutical industry for the supply of containment and environmental control technology. Whilst there are synergies between medicine and pharmaceutical research, the creation of a wholly separate dedicated division enables us to focus our expertise and build a closer working relationship with clients. This will enable us to service a wider market.".
