Intersils First Telecom Hot Plug Controllers Prevent System Down Time

--New Intersil Endura controllers offer improved power efficiency

IRVINE, CA, October 3, 2001 -- Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a leading provider of power management solutions for PCs, file servers, portable information appliances and voice-access systems, today announced the Endura ISL6140 and ISL6150 negative-voltage hot plug power controllers designed for the telecommunications and data communications industries. Our customers select our Endura power management products for excellent value, high reliability and industry-leading performance," said Rick Furtney, vice president and general manager of Intersils Analog Business Unit. We are pleased to offer our telecom and datacom customers the high-performance ISL6140 and ISL6150 as solutions for their negative-voltage hot plug and hot swap applications."
