Sheetmetalworld.com launches online web builder service

Sheetmetalworld.com has launched a unique and innovative service to allow small to medium sized businesses an easy and cost-effective method of creating and maintaining a website. The service, under the name Fabriworld.com gives a user the ability, by means of a simple web-based Control Panel to build a complex website. Images can also be uploaded directly to the site without using complicated FTP (file transfer protocol) software.

Companies sign up to the service via registering (free) for inclusion within Sheetmetalworld's online directory. Once registered a link to 'Create Website' appears, allowing them to select their 'sub domain name' e.g. www.fabriworld.com/yourcompany/. Companies can also purchase their own standard domain name and redirect it to their Fabriworld address. Once a sub domain has been selected the site is immediately created. The user then clicks on the 'Edit website' link that is now displayed to access their website's Control Panel, where they can simply cut and paste the text they want to appear on relevant pages.

Basic functions
Once the site is created the user has complete control over the look and feel of their site via the web browser control panel, including:
·   Ability to change font size, style, colour and hyperlink colours
·   Ability to modify style and position of menu, or request their own button design free
·   Ability to cut and paste text to populate pages
·   Ability to upload images to all main pages
·   Ability to enable or disable any/all items live

Advanced Features
Fabriworld.com offers several advanced features (all included in the price) that many sites lack, such as:
·   Form to email, with customisable fields allowing accurate capturing of user information
·   'Mail this page to a friend' facility; excellent 'viral marketing' tool
·   Ability to display an interactive map of your company's location
·   Fabrication Industry newsfeeds directly from Sheetmetalworld.com
·   Ability to allow users to request a call-back via the Adeptra callback facility (already linked to each record on Sheetmetalworld)

The main strength of the system, aside from its ease of use is its flexibility. Users with web coding experience can add HTML code within their text to add formatting or embed other functionality. Access to META Tags (the codes used to categorize web sites to search engines) is also permitted, allowing you to tweak your site for optimum performance within search engines. Users can also cut and paste HTML to be included in the HEAD and BODY section of each page - ideal for adding JavaScript or third party services such as hit counters, webstats etc.

Further services are planned for inclusion, including the ability to send SMS messages (thereby offering true 24 hour support from a website) and full e-commerce capabilities, including credit card handling

The service cost is 299 (€485/US$439) for the first year and 100 (€160/US$145) thereafter. Users can try the system free of charge for 14 days without obligation after which time payment can be made online via credit card or companies can pay via invoice. A reseller program is also available.
