SwapSmarts launches Question Boards: Experts bid to provide web counselling

SwapSmarts announced today that it is adding confidential Question Boards to its suite of services, thus better serving the needs of the knowledge seeker.

Since February 2001, SwapSmarts has been an online venue for experts (Over 900 to date have joined) to hold confidential web counselling sessions over the internet, at fixed prices per question or per duration. Due to popular demand, the SwapSmarts team has added Question Board auctions, where members seeking answers can post their questions in a confidential environment for experts to answer, and experts can bid to respond.

"Unlike other services, where questions are posted publicly, we feel that the private, secure and confidential nature of web counselling did not allow us to reveal questions to the general populace" said our COO, Steve Brown "Our question boards work by only revealing the question to experts in that sub-category, who are qualified to initiate the counselling session. Experts in the category can then bid on providing a response and members can pick the response which they feel suits them best."

In this way, SwapSmarts feels that they have struck the balance between a public board, where all questions and answers are revealed to anyone, and the private one-on-one sessions they have been enabling since launch.
