Diamond In The Rough Films releases
"PINS and NEEDLES"
"Pins and Needles" had its world premiere last December 8th at the Vogue Theatre in Hollywood as part of the New York International Independent Film Festival.
Diamond In The Rough Films is proud to present for 2001 Mark Schwabs second feature film, Pins and Needles", starring Mark Balunis and Devon Lee Grover in the two lead roles. Balunis stars as Simon LeBatre, a suicide hotline operator considered to be one of the best in the business. Starring alongside is Devon Lee Grover as Danny, a seriously depressed young man who overdoses on pills (washing them down with vodka), then calls Simon to tell him his story but not his location or his last name. Simon knows that unless they can trace the call within an hour, Danny will die over the phone.
Schwab has assembled his strongest cast to date for this project. Other featured performers are Garrison Koch (Ted on MTVs Undressed" series), Glenn Davis (of the upcoming feature film Eddies Dead"), Jeff De Lucio-Brock (star of The New Year"), Drew Lanning (Enamored"), and Dana Bergeman (of the highly acclaimed Roadkill").
Pins and Needles" was written, produced and directed by San Jose native Mark Schwab, whos film Toe Tag Special", won the British Columbia Leo Award for Best Short Film of 1999 and screened in film festivals across the United States and Canada.
