SipTelecom announces the availability of iPN service

Haifa Israel.         21 January 2002
For immediate release

SipTelecom, an Israeli start-up operating as a Telecom Company over the Internet, announced its new service of Free iPNs (Internet Phone Numbers). Each iPN provides a new unique Internet identity, similar to an e-mail address. iPN is a URL that functions as a private phone number. iPN owners receive Internet calls from other people by simply enabling them to click on the assigned unique URL.

This service enhances video conferencing over the Internet, either from the owners' e-mail signature files, or directly from their home pages.

Free iPNs are intended for private use by individuals and supported by ads. There is a nominal annual charge of $30.00 for business use of the iPN service, without banner advertising and with better reporting features.

The service may be obtained directly from SipTelecom, or from portals wanting to add this service to their suit of services that they offer, e.g. free e-mail address, instant messaging, news etc.

The beauty of the iPN service is that it provides a unique URL that may be used world-wide and will connect callers to the iPN owner using the same URL link. Similar to e-mail, the cost of using iPN services is free, which means that total costs are limited to local Internet charges.

In case that the user is not on-line, or is unavailable to receive the call, an iAM - Internet Answering Machine is invoked, allowing the caller to leave a voice mail message that is sent directly to the user's e-mail.

The next stage of iPNs will support the SIP standard. SIP - Session Initiation Protocol is the next word of IP communication between different types of devices. By expanding to support SIP, SipTelecom will allow iPN owners to interconnect with cellular and conventional phones.

"The iPN service will increase the use of video conferencing over the Internet" says Michael Kraizelman, SipTelecom President. "Its' simplicity is addictive - clicking on a link to call - makes Internet connectivity most attractive".

SipTelecom will distribute the free iPN service through portals and other ISPs adding a value of voice and videoconference to their existing service suits.
