Dr. Wetherbe, Stevenson Chair of Information Technology at Texas Tech University as well as Professor of MIS at the University of Minnesota, is considered a leading authority on the use of computers and information systems to improve organizational performance and competitiveness. He's also noted for his ability to explain complex technology in straightforward, practical terms that can be strategically applied by both executives and general management.
Formerly the FedEx Professor of Excellence in MIS at the University of Memphis and a professor of MIS at the University of Houston, Wetherbe is the author of 18 highly regarded books including the bestseller: The World on Time: The 11 Management Principals That Made FedEx An Overnight Sensation, as well as Information Technology for Management, Systems Analysis and Design: Best Practices and his newest book, The Management of Information Technology.
