(NASDAQ: ITCD), today announced the launch its information security initiative-including a suite of information security solutions to support its data center and client premise customers who want exceptional levels of layered information security for their daily or mission-critical Internet operations. e^deltacoms information security solutions consist of managed services (managed firewall, VPN, intrusion detection service) and professional services (intrusion analysis, risk management, information forensics, vulnerability assessment) to fit virtually any level of security needs.

(NASDAQ: ITCD), today announced the launch its information security initiative-including a suite of information security solutions to support its data center and client premise customers who want exceptional levels of layered information security for their daily or mission-critical Internet operations. e^deltacoms information security solutions consist of managed services (managed firewall, VPN, intrusion detection service) and professional services (intrusion analysis, risk management, information forensics, vulnerability assessment) to fit virtually any level of security needs. e^deltacoms specially-trained teams of professionals are dedicated to monitoring and maintaining all aspects of the offerings, supporting information security protection efforts 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Managed Services

Most businesses do not have the experience or adequate resources in-house to implement a securely managed and reliable firewall, VPN, and intrusion detection system (IDS). e^deltacoms Information Security Operations Center (ISOC) has the experience and resources to provide high quality security solutions to its customers.

IDS

The Intrusion Detection Service (IDS) provides customers with monitoring and responsive security designed to report malicious and unwanted attacks over the Internet. When combined with e^deltacoms managed firewall solutions, the IDS solution provides the identification of known malicious attacks and the ability to block many of those breaches, preventing damage to system resources. The solution has real-time monitoring and detection for attacks on a clients network. Depending on the severity of an identified attack, the IDS solution will notify the customer either by phone (highest levels of severity) or by an email (lowest levels of severity) that an attack has been recognized. e^deltacoms IDS solution will sift through the intrusions detected, and then identify which attacks need immediate attention.

VPN

The Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution provides client-to-site or site-to-site secure encryption tunnels to support safe, remote computing. The IDS solution monitors computer systems and network traffic, then analyzes that data for possible hostile attacks originating from outside an organization. The system also scans for system misuse or attacks originating from inside an organization.

Managed Firewall

The managed firewall solution provides perimeter security between an organizations networks and the Internet. All network traffic, inbound and outbound, flows through the firewall rules, which screen all traffic and reject any traffic that does not meet the restrictions of an organizations security policy.

Professional Services

e^deltacoms teams of security professionals focus their efforts on maintaining the security of the data networks of ITC^DeltaCom, e^deltacom and their respective customers selecting professional services. They provide investigative responses to malicious activity, assisting with reducing risk to information assets within an organization, and providing assessments and testing to determine vulnerabilities in an organizations information security.
