New Accounting Resource for Small Businesses in Northern Virginia
Butler Consulting Group formed to meet the accounting and administrative needs of new and small businesses in Northern Virginia.
Sterling, Virginia, January 24, 2002: Butler Consulting Group, Inc. (BCG") has begun offering accounting and business consulting services to new and small businesses in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties. The new company specializes in the accounting and operational needs of emerging companies that need high-level financial skills but have neither the funds nor the work load to justify hiring full-time, executive-level staff.
With over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, human resources, administration, and operations, BCG offers businesses more than just periodic financial statements. Tom Butler, founder of BCG, said that there is a great need for such services in the region. There are hundreds of good accountants who can generate financial statements every month, but too often, that is where the process stops," according to Butler. BCGs clients receive outstanding accounting services, plus plain-spoken analysis of their financial statements and common sense insights on how their companys performance can be improved. I have personally faced the same issues that challenge businesses, such as cash flow management, business planning, or the need for strong presentations to obtain financing. That makes me a valuable resource for business owners who need insights beyond a statement of whether they are profitable and how much cash is in the bank."
BCG also offers innovative, cost-effective solutions to a wide variety of other business challenges. The marketplace has changed dramatically," said Butler. Technology has advanced to a point where small businesses can offer large-company services and benefits without a huge investment. You can now set up some employee benefits plans with little or no up-front cost, for instance. That would have been unheard of just two years ago. As a customer myself, I have managed everything in business from employee benefits to phone systems to office supplies. I look forward to helping my clients manage the same needs."
The broad range of services offered by BCG will allow small business managers to focus on their businesses without being burdened by accounting and administrative tasks that divert their attention. Most small-business accounting functions can be performed in a few hours per week," said Butler, but that is precious time that could be spent developing the business. Business owners have better things to worry about than whether their day-to-day accounting functions are being handled properly. My mission is to enable business owners to sleep soundly at night, secure in the knowledge that their financial functions are in good hands, and that they have a ready resource as business issues arise."
