Comms Dealer Expo Attendees to Support Call Sciences David Hanson in Marathon Run For Childrens Leukaemia

London, 31st January 2002 - Unified Communications specialist, Call Sciences Inc. announced today that Sales Director David Hanson, has agreed to run this years London Marathon to raise money for Children For Leukaemia. In support, Call Sciences has agreed to sponsor David by donating 1 for every card-swiped visitor to stand 12E40 from the 20th February at this years Comms Dealer Expo at the Birmingham NEC (Hall 12).

Leukaemia kills more children in the UK than any other disease. 40 years ago, Leukaemia was a virtual death sentence for a child. Today two out of three children affected will survive, but much still needs to be done whilst the lives of children are in danger.

David Hanson; About a year ago it was a struggle to run just three miles and I had never considered attempting a Marathon, simply because I never took it seriously enough. I ran my first half marathon last May, sadly this coincided with a relative who became ill and subsequently died from the disease. It seemed an obvious development to then push myself that extra 13 miles for such a wonderful charity. Obviously running for children who suffer from Leukaemia has provided me with the necessary focus and while my intention is to run Aprils London Marathon in under four hours, my real goal is to raise some money for a great cause."
