GLOBAL CLAIM SERVICES EXPANDS NATIONAL PRESENCE
WITH SIX NEW TPA CUSTOMERS

SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- January 31, 2002 -- Global Claim Services (www.globalclaim.com), a cost-containment company specializing in the review, U&C (usual & customary) repricing and negotiation of out-of-network claims, has expanded its national presence by adding six third-party administrators (TPAs) as clients.

As we are proving, the Global Claim Services (GCS) methods and data-driven processes are effective with providers everywhere," explains John Flanders, CEO of GCS. "By applying consistent, timely and fair methods to settle out of network claims, we have earned the trust of providers and payers nationwide as we bring them together in negotiated agreements that benefit all parties, including the patients and plan members."

The six new GCS clients are:

•   P5 Electronic Health Services, Inc., Salt Lake City
•   Fox Everett, Inc., Jackson, Miss.
•   Shasta Administrative Services, Redmond, Ore.
•   The Employee Benefit Service Center (EBS), South Charleston, W.Va.
•   Custom Design Benefits, Inc., Cincinnati
•   Group Administrators, LTD, Schaumburg, Ill.

In just a few months, GCS has reduced turnaround time on claims from about 10 days to three, and they have substantially increased the percentage of providers accepting lower payments," explains Craig Atkins, client solutions representative at The Employee Benefit Center. Atkins is also impressed with GCS customer service and its reporting. They have saved us considerable time by customizing reports," he explains. After reviewing them, we simply send them directly to our customers."

Brian Peterson, founder of P5 Electronic Health Services, has only one regret about his relationship with GCS -- that it did not begin sooner. We gave GCS an opportunity with one of our specialty divisions, and they did such an outstanding job that we brought them in to handle the out-of-network claims for our corporate health plans," he explains. They have saved our clients well over a half-million dollars in a relatively short time."

Global Claim Services is a healthcare cost-containment company specializing in out-of-network claims. The company performs clinical and financial retrospective claim reviews and negotiates final settlements with healthcare providers on behalf of the payers of healthcare claims. By helping to settle claims better, faster and more economically, GCS delivers bottom-line, double-digit savings and creates valuable goodwill for its customers. Founded in June 1998, GCS has offices in both Frederick, Md., and in Salt Lake City. For more information, see www.globalclaim.com.
