Orem, Utah, Feb. 2, 2002
September 11, 2001 and its economic aftermath irrevocably transformed all of our lives and shattered our false illusions of security. Millions have awakened to a realization of their personal responsibility for the safety and welfare of their families.
Since that time a great deal of emergency preparedness information has been published for the use of government agencies and community leaders. However, there are relatively few reliable resources available to ordinary citizens.
Preparedness Times, started in 1992, has long been recognized as a credible and non-sensational source of information for those seeking to provide a secure future for themselves and their loved ones. Its mission is to foster peaceful, healthy, self-reliant lifestyles. It teaches how to prepare for and respond to natural or manmade disasters, financial problems, unemployment, family crises, and other eventualities. Many of the world's foremost experts on preparedness have submitted articles over the years.
The ongoing terrorist threat and world economic turmoil have prompted the publisher, Provident Living Center, to expand the reach of this important publication by moving it to the Internet in e-zine and email formats. Over the next few months many of the most-requested past articles will be updated and republished, along with new articles on timely topics.
Liberal reprint policies will allow this vital information to be widely circulated through the cooperation of press agencies and reputable merchants. As a special community service, Preparedness Times is offering free lifetime email subscriptions to those who sign up by February 28, 2002.
Those wishing to submit articles or request publishing guidelines should send email to preptimes@providentlivingcenter.com.
The motto of Preparedness Times is "Those who are prepared need never fear." To view the current issue and learn more, please visit http://www.neverfear.org. To sign up for a free email charter subscription, visit http://www.neverfear.org/subscribe.html.
