WiredRed and The Messaging Architects Join Forces to Offer First GroupWise-compatible Secure Instant Messaging Product

This is to inform the GroupWise Users community on the availability of the first Secured Instant Messaging (IM) solution for Novell GroupWise - GWPop. GWPop will be demonstrated during the 30-city GroupWise Wireless & Solutions Tour.

WiredRed, the leader of secure instant messaging and comprehensive real-time communications for business, today announced that the company has established a technology development and marketing partnership with The Messaging Architects, publishers of solutions that enhance, accelerate and secure Novell's GroupWise Messaging and Collaboration platform. According to the agreement, The Messaging Architects will be the exclusive worldwide distributors of GWPop, a secure, instant messaging product based on WiredRed's e/pop® 3.0. The product was adapted to meet The Messaging Architects requirements for GroupWise users and administrators. GWPop is the first and only native GroupWise instant messaging (IM) system available.

GWPop utilizes the GroupWise Address Books and Novell's NDS as the basis for its IM presence management system. This eliminates the need for system administrators to create a separate user directory for the IM application, plus offers the security benefit of authenticating all connections via NDS.
