FREMONT, CA- (January 29, 2002) Celestix Networks, Inc., the premier supplier of Linux based server appliances, today announced the Celestix Aries One, the companys newest Secured by Check Point" VPN/Security appliance. The Aries One VPN/Security appliance integrates Check Pointä Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP) VPN-1â/FireWall-1â SmallOffice Next Generationä (NG) software aimed at delivering enterprise-class Internet security to small offices, as well as remote and branch offices of distributed enterprises. Managed by a web-based interface, Aries One provides customers with an easy to use, and easy to manage VPN/security solution.

Aries One is tested and certified as Secured by Check Point", ensuring optimal and secure operation coupled with seamless interoperability. Celestixs intuitive web based user interface allows administrators to easily setup/configure and manage the Aries One. With a large writeable media (5GB HDD), the Aries One operates in standalone or centrally managed mode.
Aries One is designed with power and speed in mind. To provide better performance and flexibility, Aries One is housed with a minimum 300MHz CPU, 128MB RAM, 5 gigabyte hard drive, two standard PCMCIA type II slots for additional modems and NIC interfaces, a serial port, and two USB connections. Aries One is equipped with 1 x 10Base-T Ethernet port and 1 x 100Base-T Ethernet port for WAN and LAN connectivity. The 128- by 64-pixel LCD front panel provides critical information to users, such as security status. Four navigation keys provide accessibility to common administration options, rapid deployment, ease of configuration, and ease of management. The administrator may set/change IP address, check the status and reboot when necessary without requiring the use of another computer.
The Aries One can be self-managed via the new Check Point NG Web-based management GUI or centrally managed via Check Points enterprise management console and Provider-1/SiteManager-1 architecture.
