The companys inaugural event, Shootout in the Sandhills", is a four player pro-am team tournament on June 1-6 at the renowned Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Until now, the number of high-end events open to amateurs with a passion for golf, for competition and for tournament play has been very limited," said Roger Mack, founder and president of Universal Golf Tournaments and a golf professional for 20 years. Universal Golf Tournaments is committed to providing a 72-hole PGA professional-amateur tournament experience equal to none other on the market today."

In addition to holding the events at renowned and challenging courses, Universal Golf Tournaments will spend more than $100,000 on tee prizes, professionals purse and amateurs trophies. Tournament fees range from $3,000 to $3,700, depending on venue, and this includes accommodations, tee gift package, cocktail parties, greens fees, golf carts, practice balls for four rounds and Waterford crystal prizes for the winners.

On October 20-25, Universal Golf Tournaments will hold Battle at Bandon Dunes" at the award-winning Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes in Bandon, Oregon. On the heels of this event will be Showdown in the Desert" from October 27 to November 1 at Rio Secco Golf Club and TPC at The Canyons in Las Vegas, Nevada.
