LEVITON VOICE & DATA DIVISION and SUPERIOR ESSEX have formed a domestic and international alliance to introduce the NextLAN Category 5e, Category 6, and fiber performance cabling systems. These optimized, high-quality, end-to-end cabling systems have passed a rigorous testing program that measures total throughput under real network conditions.

Utilizing the "Total Solutions Testing Program" from Intertek Testing Services/ETL, the systems were tested in a Gigabit Ethernet environment and exceeded the IEEE 802.3ab requirements, which specify cabling systems have a bit error rate of no more than one error per 10 billion frames. The NextLAN systems have also been entered into the ETL Cabling Systems Verification Program. The program involves purchasing NextLAN products from distribution and ETL testing channel solutions on a quarterly basis.
