Smart Investor Camp held in Pune

Pune February 7, 2002: CNBC India, leading business channel, and Home Trade, the worlds first Fast Moving Financial Goods (FMFG) Company, conducted the second in the series Smart Investment Camp at Peshwa, Holiday Inn, between 10.30 a.m and 2.30 p.m in Pune. The first in the series was held in Delhi on October 13, 2001. The series of Investor Camps will span 10-12 cities across the country. The next Camp will be held in Hyderabad on the 9th of February 2002.This workshop was conducted with the aim of enlightening the retail investor along with the participants on the essentials of good and successful investing. Some of the areas that were covered during the camp to educate retails investors were Trading & Investment Strategies, Tips on Making good investment and an overview on the Financial Markets. The main discussion points of the workshop were identifying areas of winning stocks and how the same could be carefully chosen over the others. There were also trading and investment strategies amongst various trading rules discussed. The most important however was the market behaviour; its diversities and strategies to reduce risk. Mr. Victor Fernandes gave an entire presentation on Derivatives and how an investor should trade stock derivatives.

Senthil Chengalvarayan and Udayan Mukherjee would moderate these sessions. All presentations would be followed by Q&A sessions with the audience.
