One good machine deserves another

After the excellent results obtained in the first few months of operation with Giuliani transtable TRT 15/25, a German customer ordered another transfer-machine and started lasting business relations with GIULIANI.

Among GIULIANI european customers is a German company, established in 1938 and now in its third generation, specialised in the automobile and air-conditioning sectors of industry. Today the company manufactures thermal expansion valves and liquid distributors for automobile air-conditioning systems, a complete range of pressure and temperature control elements, electronic control systems and solenoid valves for the industrial refrigeration facilities. All the products are mainly manufactured in the two company production sites employing some 380 workers.

The customer supplies components to some of the most prestigious names in the automotive industry, including Opel, BMW, Chrysler, Porsche, Renault, Peugeot, Fiat, Ford and Volvo. The names in the car air-conditioning sector are just as distinguished: Behr, Delphi, Valco and Visteon.

The manufacturing experience acquired by the German company over the decades is certainly one of its outstanding strengths, combined with a wide production range and the use of the very latest production technology available -- factors behind the quality and long-term reliability of all its products.

Business relations between the German manufacturing company and Giuliani date back to 1998, when they requested a unit for machining aluminium components for car air-conditioning systems. In particular the customer required a unit that could carry out a large number of machining cycles on workpieces and that allowed continuous variation of product specifications -- besides rapid cycle times and high-precision performance.

The German company chose the Transtable TRT 15/25, delivered by Giuliani in 2000. The excellent results obtained in the first few months of operations led them to order a second machine from Giuliani and onece again the choice fell on the TRT 15, served this time with one of IEMCA bar feeders. The Giuliani transfer machine is equipped with NC or hydraulic units designed according to the most flexible specifications of the customer. A large number of high-frequency spindles assure high cutting speeds and therefore an optimal degree of surface finishing. All these features are complemented by exceptional productivity and high precision, a factor indispensable for achieving the smallest tolerance requirements of workpieces.

We asked the German manufacturer's management to tell us why they chose Giuliani. Their answer was immediate and clear: Giuliani is quite simply the best value for money on the market.
