Michael King, Vice President and Co-Founder of SelecTech Inc., a Taunton, Mass. based recycling solutions provider and manufacturer of high-quality products made from undesirable plastic, has been named to board of directors for the Re-Made in Massachusetts Alliance. King is among the founders of the recycling collaborative.

The Re-Made in Massachusetts Alliance not only strengthens recycling members, but strengthens the recycling message throughout Massachusetts and beyond. We want to get the word out to companies that recycled products and recycling solutions can indeed provide cost-savings to the consumer in addition to preserving the environment," noted Michael King.

Re-Made in Massachusetts Alliance
The Re-Made in Massachusetts Alliance is a group of companies within the recycling industry whose principal mission is to create greater awareness of recycled products manufactured in Massachusetts. Since its initial membership drive in May, 2001, the alliance has expanded to 17 members. The Re-Made in Massachusetts Alliance networks recycling businesses throughout Massachusetts and encourages shared information, resources and joint business arrangements.

Additionally, large companies seeking a partner in a recycling program will be able to talk to several vendors at the same time via the Re-Made in Massachusetts Alliance.
   
King will serve as champion of the Re-Made in Massachusetts Alliance-providing the sales, marketing and networking direction to fellow members. Prior to co-founding SelecTech, King served as Deputy Director of Solid Waste with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and as Associate General Counsel for Biomedical Waste Systems.
