GeoMetrix Adds e-commerce to Training Partner 2000 Online

GeoMetrix Data Systems Inc. has added e-commerce to Training Partner 2000 Online, the Web-based component of its enterprise learning management system.

Victoria, BC, February 11, 2002: GeoMetrix Data Systems Inc. has added e-commerce to Training Partner 2000 Online, the Web-based component of its enterprise learning management system.

"The e-commerce functionality allows users to purchase courses, classes and programs from Training Partner Online using a credit card," said Justin Hearn, President of GeoMetrix Data Systems Inc. "Shopping Cart, Account History and Check Out features make it easy for users to purchase and pay for training over the Web."

GeoMetrix recently added portal capability to Training Partner 2000 Online. Portals allow online access to data using different business rules and layouts for departments or organizations. "E-commerce options are part of a portal, so they can be set differently for each departments or organizations - one can enable e-commerce purchasing while others can leave it disabled," said Brett Watters, Director of Research and Development for GeoMetrix. "The system records the purchases and payments directly into Training Partners built-in accounting system."

Training Partner Onlines e-commerce suite is designed to plug into Verisigns Payflow Pro(SM) system. Clients must have an e-commerce account with Verisign(TM) and install Payflow Pro software before they can enable the e-commerce features.

Designed to allow access from a standard Web browser anywhere in the world, Training Partner 2000 Online offers online enrollment, self-registration, discussion forums, skills and assessments, course catalogs, and launching and tracking of computer-based training (CBT) or Web-based training (WBT). Multi-language capability was another recent addition to Training Partner 2000 and Web-access is currently available in English, Spanish, German, Swedish, Italian and French, with more languages in development.
