MAFSI HONORS SIX INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS WITH AWARDS
Industry award recipients announced
ATLANTA, (PRWEB) February 14, 2002 -- The Manufacturers Agents for the Foodservice Industry (MAFSI) honored six food service professionals with awards during their 37th Annual Marketing Conference Awards Banquet, February 2, 2002, San Diego, CA.
The TONY AWARD, MAFSIs summit award, was presented to Mr. Carl Binky" Huerth, CFSP, owner and president, C.R. Peterson Associates, Inc., Easton, MA. Named in honor of Anthony E. Mazur, it is bestowed upon an individual who has consistently performed and demonstrated sincere interest, effort and leadership and time to the welfare and progress of MAFSI and the enhancement of the manufacturers representatives method of sales and marketing and position in the foodservice industry. Mr. Huerth, who has devoted countless hours and effort to the betterment of MAFSI, was honored for his years of service, including his presidency in 1988.
The PACESETTER AWARD was presented to Mr. M. Jeffrey Hessel, Principal, B.S.E. Marketing, Farmingdale, NY. The MAFSI Pacesetter Award is bestowed on individuals from MAFSI agent companies only, for demonstrating the highest degree of leadership, devotion, inspiration and distinguished service in conjunction with MAFSI projects and activities. Mr. Hessel was honored for his proactive efforts and distinguished service. He served as the 2001 SMF chair and currently is the 2003 marketing conference chair.
The MARKET MOVER AWARD was presented to Ms. Sharon Barasch, president of the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) and executive vice president of Certified Service Center, Cincinnati, OH and to Ms. Tedde Reid, president, SEFA, Inverness, IL. The Market Mover Award is presented to individuals and/or organizations in recognition for outstanding leadership and achievements significant to the advancement of the manufacturers representative function and the foodservice industry. Both were honored for their constant support of the manufacturers representative method of sales and marketing, their devotion to elevating industry partnerships and lifelong service to the foodservice industry.
The SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD was presented to Mr. Jeff Carragher, past chapter president of Region 2 and current Region 2 national director, Bassett-Carragher Associates, Rochester, NY and to Mr. Art Gibson, past chapter vice president, Region 26, Karch, Gibson, Boles (KGB) Marketing Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The MAFSI Special Achievement Award is given to MAFSI agent member(s) who have made significant contributions to a local region. Mr. Carragher was honored for his outstanding efforts on behalf of MAFSIs New York Not Metro chapter; Mr. Gibson was presented the award for his outstanding efforts on behalf of MAFSIs Canada chapter.
