MAFSI ANNOUNCES NEW OFFICERS FOR 2002

ATLANTA, (PRWEB) February 14, 2002 -- New officers of the Manufacturers Agents for the Foodservice Industry (MAFSI) were announced during the 2002 Marketing Conference and Sales Managers Forum (SMF), on February 2, at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, CA. Beginning their one-year terms are:
President: Neville Jeens, CPMR, W. D. Colledge Co., Ltd., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Jeens is currently completing his fifth year as MAFSI Canadas representative on the national board. In 2001, he served as MAFSI Vice President and chairperson of the MAFSI Growth and Development Committee responsible for membership growth and retention, professional staff growth and development, new revenue sources and membership benefits. He is president of the largest foodservice representative agency in Canada.
Mr. Jeens has also been instrumental in augmenting the associations membership growth in North America through MAFSI Canada. He served as the regions president and remains very active in developing and growing a viable force of professional agencies in the Canadian marketplace. In 1999, he received MAFSIs Special Recognition Award for outstanding leadership on the local chapter level.
Mr. Jeens completed his CPMR designation in 2001.
Vice-President: Mr. Alan Squier, CPMR, CFSP, Squier Associates, Inc., Rockville, Maryland.
Mr. Squier is currently completing his fourth year as Region 5s representative on the national board. In 2001, Mr. Squier served as MAFSI Treasurer and chairperson of the MAFSI Finance Committee responsible for all financial matters relative to the associations solvency and stability. He was chairperson of the 2001 MAFSI Marketing Conference, which ranks as one of most successful conferences to date. Mr. Squier has also served as Chapter Development chair responsible for the development and implementation of MAFSIs first-ever Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT).
Mr. Squier has also been instrumental in augmenting the associations public relations efforts, serving as Media Relations Chair in 1999 and as OutFront Co-Chair from 1997-1998. Currently he is serving as chair of the Public Relations committee. He has served in all officer positions for his local chapter and in 1999 he was the recipient of MAFSIs Special Recognition Award for outstanding leadership on the local chapter level.
Mr. Squier completed his CPMR designation in 1998, and his CFSP Level 1 designation in 1998.
Treasurer: Mr. Ray Ward, Serv-Safe, Quality Rep Source, Inc., Victor, New York
Mr. Ward is currently completing his fourth year as Region 2s representative on the national board. Mr. Ward has been a manufacturers representative for 30 years. He served as the 2002 Marketing Conference Chair and co-chair of the CFESA liaison committee. He has been a critically important and active volunteer member on the Faces of the Rep World committee studying the trends impacting the representative profession and relations with the customer base.
Mr. Ward has also been instrumental in augmenting the growth of MAFSI Region 2 through his leadership and twenty-one year association. He has served in all officer positions for his local chapter.
