The Versailles Police Department Awards A Contract To AVeL-TECH For The Supply Of MobiCAD And RadioGATE

The Versailles Police Department has awarded AVeL-TECH a contract to supply MobiCAD and RadioGATE, AVeL-TECH's mobile application and message switch for its vehicle fleet. This system will give field officers access to the NCIC database and various data and mapping functionalities. MobiCAD is a form-driven map-centric mobile application which is a powerful extension to the dispatch center operations.

The Versailles Police Department (VDP) is an accredited police department located in Woodford County, Kentucky. VPD employs 25 sworn officers, 8 Telecommunicators as well as a Records Clerk and an E-911 Coordinator.

VPD dispatches for all emergency response agencies in Woodford County including their own department as well as the Woodford County Police Department, Woodford County Sheriff's Department, Woodford County Fire Department, Versailles Fire Department, Midway Fire Department, Woodford County EMS and Animal Control.

During the year 2000 Versailles Police Department handled 33,274 calls for service.
