UST to hold Catholic Journalism Forum

The UST Journalism Society, an organization from the Philippine's oldest school of Journalism and Communication, would be holding the first ever Catholic Journalism Forum on Feb. 25 at the UST Research Complex in Espaņa, Manila.

The UST Journalism Society of the Faculty of Arts
Letters, an organization from the Philippine's
oldest school of Journalism and Communication, will
hold the first ever Catholic Journalism forum on
February 25 at the UST Research Complex in Espafia,
Manila.

Resource persons will include Amelia Canlas, executive
Director of Arc Media; Remie Dillena, chief of
reporters of the Catholic-run Radyo Veritas; Peachy
Yamsuan, editor-in-chief of Family Today magazine; Fr.
David Glenday, editor of World Mission magazine; Fr.
Guillermo Tejon, editor of the Dominican media
apostolates' Life Today magazine; and Fr. James
Reuter, Philippine Star columnist.

The speakers will tackle the concepts, practices, and
applications of Catholic Journalism in the country,
its use as a tool to promote the Christian message,
and its role in the mission of the Philippine Church.

High school and college campus journalists and
moderators/advisers, parish newsletters staff members,
the clergy and the religious, as well as interested
lay people are invited to attend the one day forum-
seminar, which will be held at the Seminar Workshop
Rooms of the UST Research Complex.

A registration fee of 150 pesos would be collected
from the participants. This 60% subsidized cost covers
lunch, snacks, and seminar kit. First 50 participants
to register will be given a discount. Registration and
payment may be made until February 22 only, Mondays
and Fridays, 12-6 p.m. at the lobby of the AB-Commerce
Bldg.
