Big Prizes For Messiest House

United to sponsor Messy House Contest are Simon & Schuster, DayTimer, Lillian Vernon, FileWise, EasyMinder, Style House.

What is it about the appearance of messy homes that evokes such dread? Add piles of paper, mix in collections of various paraphernalia, sprinkle a touch of broken and unused items, and you have a recipe for stress.

According to organizing expert and columnist Cyndi Seidler, "Getting organized is a big step, but one which will change a person's life forever." To entice individuals to change their messy conditions, Organized-Living.com is hosting a "Messiest To Neatest House" contest sponsored by Simon & Schuster, DayTimer, Lillian Vernon, EasyMinder, Style House, and Filewise.

Entrants will participate by taking "before" and "after" pictures of an area of their house in its disaster state and then in its organized state, followed by a brief story about the project. Winners are voted on based on best photos and story.
