CONXION POWERS GLOBETROTTER'S GTLICENSING SOLUTION FOR ELECTRONIC LICENCE
DELIVERY AND MANAGEMENT
FastStart Bundle Provides Software Publishers with Reliable and Secure
Infrastructure to Host Globetrotter's GTlicensing Licence Delivery System
London - February 19th, 2002 - Conxion Corporation, the reliability and
performance leader in managed hosting, and Globetrotter Software, a division
of Macrovision Corporation (Nasdaq: MVSN), a world leader in digital rights
management technologies, announced today that they have signed an alliance
agreement to provide a solution which helps software publishers utilise
GTlicensing to manage the delivery of FLEXlm® licences to their customers.
The GTlicensing Fast Start Bundle, powered by Conxion, includes all the
server hardware, software, security and installation assistance necessary to
rapidly deploy Globetrotter's GTlicensing solution within Conxion's managed
hosting datacentres in the US and the UK.
The GTlicensing Fast Start Bundle is available immediately as part of a
comprehensive hosting solution that includes access to Conxion's Tier 1,
high performance digital delivery network and its ability to store, track
and deliver customer software along with the electronic licence.
"This is an exciting combination of technologies addressing the same problem
from different points of view in order to create a comprehensive solution,"
said Mark Belinsky, Globetrotter's senior vice president and general
manager. "Globetrotter provides the application that streamlines the
distribution of
FLEXlm software licences, and Conxion provides the infrastructure that
ensures the reliable and secure delivery of both licences and software. In
particular, by outsourcing to Conxion, a software vendor can leverage
Conxion's proven experience in providing reliable hosting solutions,
minimising the likelihood of
any unplanned interruption in licence generation or distribution
capabilities."
"Leveraging Conxion's Tier 1 backbone and our HotRoute digital delivery
network (DDN), we have a complete strategy to provide comprehensive digital
fulfilment solutions to our customers," said Greg Quinn, Conxion's vice
president, sales and strategic alliances. "As the clear market leader in
electronic licence management and electronic licence distribution solutions
for major software vendors such as Cadence, Cisco, Mentor Graphics,
Autodesk, Micromuse, Sun Microsystems, and Sybase, Globetrotter is the
perfect partner for us in the delivery of these services."
Globetrotter's GTlicensing application provides software vendors with
extensive capabilities to configure, deliver and manage electronic licences.
It is a companion product to FLEXlm, the electronic licence manager which
has been licensed to over 2,500 software vendors worldwide, and provides an
enterprise-class solution to support a wide range of licensing functions. In
particular, it provides for automatic generation and distribution of
licences over the Internet, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
