Epic Fuels Growth with Added Services

Epic Systems, the nations 32nd fastest growing company, continues to prosper in a down economy.

Houston TX February 22nd, 2002-- Epic Systems Corporation continues to buck the current downward economic trend. Due to strong market demand, Epic has once again expanded their services and product portfolios. With corporate budget cuts the norm, more and more entities are seeking a viable, hardened solution to implement without sacrificing computing power or support services.

Weve looked long and hard at our business model and areas in which our business was growing and elected to invest more heavily into the Sun, networking and communications platforms," stated Paul Daniels, Epics founder and President. Our client base grew tremendously last year and were seeing no signs of abatement in 2002. A good number of companies out there are seeing significant reductions in their IT budgets and are turning to us for not only products but services as well".

Not a company content to sit and watch the world spin by, Epic recently hired Chris Shipman, a tenured infrastructure veteran and technology specialist to spearhead the effort. Epics vision is right in line with not only the marketplace but with our perception of industry sweet spots", furthered Shipman. Its an unfortunate byproduct of the economic climate and only makes sense that IT departments are stretched thin. If we consult with them on their challenges, in addition to supplying them with their core mission critical infrastructure, then everybody comes out a winner".

Epic Systems holds several key authorizations and relationships in the networking and security fields and is rapidly expanding their offerings predicated on client requirements. Security is at the forefront of our clients interests and were assisting a number of organizations is assessing and implementing tighter security measures, adds Derek Flint, Epic Co-Founder and Vice President. With Chris and his team on board weve been able to go from zero to sixty in record time and the clients really appreciate the level of technical expertise we can provide".

As an example of Epics capabilities the networking team was recently able to design, configure and implement a wide area infrastructure, with security devices, for a large multi-national company in less than two weeks. Those guys worked incredibly well under a very high pressure situation", added Daniels. The previous vendor stumbled and fell at the 11th hour and the client called us to pick up the pieces. Not only did we have to re-design the architecture but deploy it as well in order to meet a government-imposed deadline. The client was so impressed they sent the team a case of champagne!"

2001 was a benchmark year for Epic having garnered numerous awards for growth and culture. I see nothing on the horizon to indicate that 2002 will be any different," said Daniels.
