HOME FROM THE WEST COAST, MONTE MONTGOMERY HEADS EAST

VZD, a popular Oklahoma City venue, was the first stop on guitar virtuoso Monte Montgomery's new tour of the central and eastern United States. Montgomery returned to his home base of Austin, Texas, recently after a highly successful three-week tour of the West Coast. Between January 23rd and February 10th, the critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist and his band played to large and enthusiastic crowds at venues such as Nita's Hideaway in Tempe, AZ; the Tractor Tavern in Seattle; St. John's Pub in Portland, OR; and California venues like world-famous McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, and the Last Day Saloon in San Francisco.

On the upcoming tour, Montgomery and his band (drummer Phil Bass, bassist Lonnie Trevino Jr., and percussionist Mikel Urdy) will break some new ground as well as re-visit some familiar turf. This tour will include first-ever concerts in Kingsport, TN; Charlottesville, VA; and Northampton, MA; as well as stops in cities such as New York, Chicago and Milwaukee, where Montgomery has already established a passionate and ever-expanding fan base. Montgomery will be headlining most of the shows on the tour, and ticket prices range from $6 to $15. Contact the individual venue for more show details.
