Wireless Futures partners with CSR for development of Bluetooth modules

Cambridge, UK - 25 February, 2002 - CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) today announced that Wireless Futures, a Milton Keynes based wireless consultancy, has joined CSRs Module Partner Programme, the recently launched sixth category in its successful partner programme, which enables a fast and reliable route to Bluetooth integration.

Clive Chelsom-Pill, commercial manager, CSR commented, Pre-qualified Bluetooth radio modules are an attractive option for customers developing Bluetooth products, particularly those without an in-house RF design or test capability, and are certainly the fastest route to market. We are delighted to add Wireless Futures to our extensive range of partners offering a great design resource for UK customers."

There is great synergy between the two companies", explained Richard Adams, Managing Director, Wireless Futures, and therefore it was an obvious alliance that will give Wireless Futures an edge in the Bluetooth market and will allow CSR customers a quick and easy development route for their products".

This partnership has already led to the rapid development of an exciting new Bluetooth security device. The prototype which has been developed for i-migo, a major customer of Wireless Futures, is a miniature theft deterrent for use with Bluetooth equipped phones, laptops and other devices. The i-migo device is due to be launched later this year.
