HARTING Shows Advanced Parallel Optical System With New Optical Distribution

HARTING Electro-Optics, Espelkamp, Germany, a subsidiary of HARTING KGaA shows an advanced mock-up of the new product SOIS (Smart Optical Interconnection Solution) at the Optical Fiber Conference in Anaheim, CA.

Anaheim, CA - HARTING Electro-Optics, Espelkamp, Germany, a subsidiary of HARTING KGaA shows an advanced mock-up of the new product SOIS (Smart Optical Interconnection Solution) at the Optical Fiber Conference in Anaheim, CA. This is a hard metric backplane card edge, copper connector with an integrated electro optical converter for parallel transmission of 12 * 10 Gbps (120 Gbps total). The optical data is distributed by the Optical Shuffle of Schott Optovance Inc, Southbridge, MA. The system also includes the new high-speed 1 x 12 PIN-diode array for multimode fiber of the Swiss opto-electronic company, Opto Speed.
