Singapore, 26 February 2002 -- As part of its effort to provide seamless connectivity to its customers, TIMECel, the premier mobile service operated by Malaysias leading integrated communications solutions provider, TIME dotCom launched its international short messaging service (SMS) to over 55 countries recently.

TIMECel has collaborated with MobileWay, the leader in managing mobile transactions across the globe, to offer this useful service to its customers who may be on frequent business or leisure travel.

For the first time, TIMECel postpaid customers who subscribe to TIMEs International Roaming facility can now enjoy international SMS services in practically every corner of the world. The international roaming SMS services are currently applicable in 55 countries, which include Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Thailand, India, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and New Zealand. Using the service is easy, as all the customers need to do is enter the International access code, country code, and operators prefix followed by the mobile number.

With this service, TIMECel international roaming customers are able to send and receive text messages of up to 160 characters to and from selected mobile operators while roaming abroad. Likewise, users from the other participating networks can also send and receive SMS while roaming on TIMECels network," said Robert C. Fox, TIME dotComs Chief Executive Officer.

The International SMS is an additional value added feature to the existing services provided to TIMECel customers. The service aims to provide more mobility and freedom to stay connected around the world with TIMECel.
