Applications Will Allow Agency to Share Information & Services with Solano County

CASTLE HAYNE, NC -- February 28, 2002 -- VisionAIR, Inc., a respected leader of software and wireless solutions for the public safety industry, announced today that the Suisun City Police Department will deploy VisionAIRs Computer-Aided Dispatch (VisionCAD), Law Enforcement Records Management System (VisionRMS) and Wireless Information Solution (VisionMOBILE). The integrated applications, part of VisionAIRs Public Safety Suite®, will provide immediate access to vital agency data, helping make officers better informed, more efficient and safer.

Through the integration of VisionMOBILE and VisionCAD, Suisun City dispatchers will receive immediate status updates from patrol units. Officers in the field will have the ability to access automatic voiceless transfers of new dispatched call data instantaneously. VisionAIRs technology will dramatically diminish radio traffic common among officers and dispatchers, in addition to reducing dispatchers workloads. Information from the VisionRMS master database (name, address, vehicle and property information) will be available to officers through VisionCAD and VisionMOBILE. Integration with Solano County will help reduce costs by enabling county dispatchers to service Suisun City during particularly slow shifts.

Suisun City is a community of 28,500 located in Northern California, approximately 50 miles north of San Francisco. The citys police department includes 27 sworn police officers and a Communications Division, which consist of a supervisor and five communications technicians. The Suisun City Police Department is the only department in Solano County with a Boating Enforcement Unit. This unit patrols the waterways within the city and some of the county waterways pursuant to an agreement with Solano County and the United States Coast Guard. The Suisun City PD offers an annual Citizen's Academy and is the first police department in California to offer a Teen Police Academy for those 15 to 17 years of age.
