DuPont Antron has sponsored a paper entitled Building a Consultative Forum that addresses the key challenges faced by the design professions in Asia. The paper invites architects and interior designers to participate in this industry-wide discussion through the online feedback form. The Architects and Interior Designers Advisory Council, comprising twelve prominent design professionals, was formed to promote an on-going dialogue about issues facing the design industry today.

SINGAPORE -- 22 February, 2002. As part of its on-going commitment to the architecture and interior design industries, DuPont Antron, the world's leading brand of commercial carpet fiber, sponsored a paper that addresses the key challenges faced by the design professions in Asia. Building a Consultative Forum is available online at www.antron.dupont.com.hk. A print version of the paper is being widely disseminated to architects and interior designers across Asia.
Formed under the auspices of DuPont Antron to promote an on-going dialogue about issues facing the industry today, the Architects and Interior Designers Advisory Council was formed by twelve prominent design professionals. Building a Consultative Forum presents recommendations to four industry-specific concerns:
· The impact of globalization on the quality of design;
· The evolution of the design profession in response to rapidly changing market conditions;
· Environmental sustainability, sustainable design, project costs and life-cycle expectations;
· The changing relationship between project management firms and design professionals and its impact on design.
Inviting architects and interior designers in Asia to participate in this industry-wide discussion, the paper includes a feedback form. Designed to gather wide input from design professionals, feedback results will also be shared widely among design professionals in the region.
